Hereford manager Paul Caddis didn't think Hereford deserved to get much out of yesterday's game at Chorley as he told the media afterwards.
"I don't think it was a fair result," said Caddis.
"I don't think we deserved much from the game.
"I thought we were very poor first half and much of the second half.
"We brought the subs on and they did their job and we get a little lift and with twenty minutes we get the goal.
"And then we get a brilliant opportunity with Willo to win the game (He failed to score from a penalty.)
"I didn't think we deserved it. Had we scored that and won 2-1 it would have been a bit smash and grab.
"However Chorley looked as though they were going to finish second last year, they won a lot of games here last year, I know we came here and won, but if you are going to be bad make sure you don't lose.
"People were here to see we weren't great but every away game is tough in this division and if you walk away against a team who will be up there and who have the backing they've had this year, the facilites are getting better, and they've invested in the pitch and against a manager whom I have huge respect for, he knows the division inside out, I'm still learning, I'll take the point especially given the way we played."
Why didn't it click especially in the first hour or so?
"I just think in the transition we weren't composed enough, we knew the ball was going to come into our box, that's the way they play, they're direct, throw ins into our box.
"It was trying to have that composure to try and calm the game down.
"For 65 minutes they were better than us, they had more territory than us.
"But the boys who came on the pitch made their impact, that's what you hope for when you make subs and it's exactly what happened."
Ahkeem Rose, who scored, was one of the subs.
"I thought him and Bisc were live wires when they came on. Ahkeem got in some brilliant positions.
"He's attack minded, he's got that instinct to get into the box, get into a cross and get a goal. I thought he was excellent when he came on."
