Hereford manager Paul Caddis was, no doubt, relieved to come away from Banbury with three points last night especially as the game didn't go quite to plan with two players red carded.
"We're still hanging in there, we're still here," said Caddis.
"The group of players showed un believable character yet again.
"Yes we want to come and win well, but it's about winning, it'a about winning games of football."
Hereford had chances to take the lead in the first half but it wasn't until the 45th minute that they did so.
"We've done that a lot this year. It's a bit frustrating. We had a lot of, I wouldn't say clear chances, but decent chances with a lot of territory.
"And then we get the goal late on when Skins played a cross to Willo.
"I thought we controlled large parts of the first half, disappointed not to come in with more goals but didn't probably warrant more goals in terms of clear chances. Overall we're pleased."
Banbury had the ball in the net but it wasn't given.
"When I first saw it I thought we had got away with one but then I've seen it again and there's three players in front of Pondy. Brave from the assistant so fair play to him for getting involved because it would have been easy for him to let the referee deal with it."
Second Hereford goal came early in the second half.
"It was important we started the second half bright and get the next goal which we did.
"Then the madness happened, the last fifteen, twenty minutes just that can happen happened.
"I made a change to try and tighten up the middle of the pitch and the wide players on it a bit more.
"Then fifteen seconds later you are a penalty down and you think could have on for fifteen, twenty seconds. But that's in hind-sight.
"And then again more madness, the sending offs, there were stoppages in play, there were chances for both teams. We were just fortunate but I'm really proud of the players."
