We're Still Chasing The Play-Offs Said Hudson

Lewis Hudson scored Hereford's first goal at Warrington yesterday. After the game he gave his views on the game.

"I thought we were really dominate first half," said Hudson.

"We're still chasing the play-offs, we've got one game to go now, I thought first half we were outstanding.

"Nice to get the goal early, I wanted my first before the end of the season and I've got it. Delighted.

"We pressed quite high, we wanted to set the intensity straight away, that's what the Gaffer said.

"Ceesay has pressed really well and I've backed him up.

"I got the luck of the green with a little deflection to take it in.

"We were dominating the first half and probably did not take as many chances as we should have, could have been 3-0 up.

"But that goal (Williams) at half time just settled the nerves and set us up for the second half really well."

During the second half Grivosti was sent off for a foul on Hudson.

Hudson Winning The Ball In An Earlier Incident

"I've made a tackle by the touchline, probably slightly aggresive but I feel like I got the ball.

"Then the boy has gone a bit aggresive back on me, a bit of retaliation,I could sense it coming. He's been sent off in the end.

"It was going out of play, there was no need to make the challenge, a bit in retaliation, it happens in football."

Hudson joined from Rushall Olympic in the middle of the season.

"It's been a really good time to come in.

"When I spoke to the gaffer when I first came in, the club was going in the right direction, all the players are here for one reason, to get in the play-offs.

"I've loved my time here so far, one game to go this season, hopefully we can finish well."

Banbury play Boston on Tuesday. Should Banbury take a point or three from the game it will help Hereford.

"We need a favour on Tuesday.

"But last year 69 points made the play-offs, we're on that now. If we can finish on 72 we can't do much more.

"There's always games in a season where we look back and think we should have won there but I  think every team does that.

"If we finish on 72 points then I think we will have had a good season."

And what about the support?

"It's been outstanding."
