The Worcestershire side fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to Eastleigh, condemning them to National League North again next season.
Harriers were promoted to the National League last summer after a stunning nine-game unbeaten run at the end of season, including six wins, before beating Alfreton, King's Lynn and Brackley in the play-offs.
Manager Russ Penn's tenure was to be cut short with Harriers rooted to the bottom of the table, being replaced by Phil Brown in January.
But he couldn't save Harriers.
After today's 1-0 loss, the club posted on X, formerly Twitter: "Thank you so, so much for your incredible support, all season long, home and away.
"So sorry we couldn't make it count."
In the replies, fans said summer recruitment wasn't good enough and Phil Brown should have been brought in earlier.
However, with Hereford's slim play-off hopes and Gloucester City's relegation, the festive local derbies look to return next season.
