Caddis Pleased To Have Signed Babos For Next Season

During his post Buxton interview yesterday, Hereford manager Paul Caddis was asked about the news that Alex Babos had signed for next season.

"We're really pleased," said Caddis.

"Ideally we would get more but there's been a bit of halt on that.

"Everyone is aware of what we want to do, we don't want a re-build, we've said that from the off.

"We're trying to move on as many as we possibly can.

"I beleive this squad is capable of competing regularily. If we had had this squad at the start of the season, we've got a strong squad. Just look at our bench today, Williams, Cowley, Rooney, Teixeira, Ceesay all ready to come on and make an impact.

"Some might play Wednesday, some might play Saturday.

"I think we've done well with what we've had available, we've got stronger as the season has gone on.

"Everyone is aware of our plans and what we want to try. And we're hoping to try and get more."

Caddis was asked who was already signed for next season.

"We've got Babos, Teixeira and Hudson, so we've got three, we want to get as many as we can.

"Finances will obviously play a part, it's something the board are trying extremely hard to try and help us as much as they can.

"We're in a situation where the last couple of years before I came in at the club, there was a lot of stuff financially, good, bad, indifferent.

"Just to give you a context of where we're at, we had two players starting the first game of the season who were paid less money than two members of staff last year. That's where we're at.

"I won't name the players but two backroom members of staff last year that were on more money than two of my starters.

"That's no excuse, just a reality of where we are at."
