Whatever happens there are always times when a business needs to spend money on upkeep and football is no different whether you own or lease your stadium.
"At the end of the day we rent the three sides of the ground and as part of renting a property you are going to have obligations in terms of upkeep," said Hereford chairman Chris Ammonds.
"Put simply we will have to find money to fund some of the work. Hopefully we will get grant assistance for as much as possible.
"But we will have to have a contingency.
"A lot of the work that's been done this year to put the wheels back on from where we were has been with the knowledge that we need to rebuild those reserves for that type of thing.
"As well as the football that has been one of our focuses.
"We know it's an ageing stadium.
"Touch wood it won't happen but if the roof blew off the Meadow End you've got to be able to deal with it."
