Blyth Spartans face a long journey to Hereford this weekend but a local company has stepped in to ensure they can stay overnight before the game.
'Blyth Spartans wishes to thank Mick and Kerry of L&M for sponsoring an overnight stay for our away trip to Hereford, this coming Saturday.
Manager, Jon Shaw added, "As I have mentioned previously, the opportunity for the players and staff to prepare for a game in this way, (especially with such a long journey), is invaluable.
"Importantly, it also brings the squad together, boosting morale and team spirit, these are also critical factors in building a successful team.
"On behalf of the players and staff, I would like to express our gratitude to Mick and Kerry at L&M for helping us in this way."'
"We then had a second overnight stay paid for by an anonymous supporter, L&M have now made the third possible.
"This
is a fantastic result for the Club, we greatly appreciate the generosity
of everyone who has contributed to make this happen".
Hereford have had six or so overnight stays before away games this season. None, as far as BN is aware, have been sponsored.
Updated Friday 7.30am:
Hereford chairman Chris Ammonds has told BN that the 'Junior Bulls kindly offered to fund an overnight stay ahead of the match at Scarborough'.
