Hereford FC scored five goals at home yesterday. The last time this happened was in September 2019 in the FA Cup against Truro.
The visitors that day went 2-0 ahead but goals from Reece Styche, Jordan Nicholson, Rowan Liburd, Mike Symons and Peter Vincenti ensured Hereford went through.
After yesterday's game manager Paul Caddis spoke to the local media.
"I thought we started the game on the front foot," said Caddis.
"We got off to a good start with a good goal from Babos.
"Then we get a set-back with a goal.
"I keep talking about the character of the group, we bounced back again.
"To score five at home, there's been a lot said about not scoring, I don't think we've scored at the Meadow End since Spennymoor.
"Just really pleased with the reaction.
"We knew if we were on the front foot we could cause problems and we've got someone like Cowley who can put the ball in the back of the net.
"That's why he's in the team because he's capable of scoring goals. He has been throughout his career. That's why I brought him to the club."
Hereford are back in the play-off places after the victory.
"It shows you how quick it changes. We could go and win the next three and be still there or thereabouts.
"We could go and lose the next three and we couldstill be there or thereabouts. It's mad. The League is mental.
"We've just got to look after ourselves.
"I try and take responsibilty as much as I can, maybe we've brought too many bodies in too quickly, I don't know, We can scrutinish at the end of the season but I know the players we've brought in add strength and depth that we will need to try and kick-on.
"We'll take each game as it comes. We've got a little break next week.
"The last thing we wanted for to go into next week with a break in the League and not got get a positive result today."
