Solihull Stands In Solidarity With Nuneaton Supporters

Solihull Moors have offered Nuneaton season ticket holders free admittance to their game against Altrincham next Saturday.

"Solihull Moors stands in solidarity with all Nuneaton Borough supporters during the difficult time in which the club has had to resign from the Southern Football League.

Every football supporter in Warwickshire deserves to have their football fix on a Saturday afternoon, no matter who you support.

Therefore, for our fixture on Saturday 3rd February against Altrincham, we are inviting all season ticket holders of Nuneaton Borough to attend the fixture free of charge to get their football fix in this distressing time.

We are not asking you to switch your allegiance to Solihull Moors, we sincerely hope that there will be a club in the future for you to follow every week in the borough of Nuneaton.

But by showing solidarity with our Warwickshire footballing friends, this is the correct move to ensure you can still get to watch 90 minutes of football on a Saturday afternoon from the terraces".

Meanwhile Nuneaton supporters are set to hold a meeting next Wednesday to discuss the way forward.

"For several weeks, the football club has been in discussions with a consortium led by Gary Holliday with the view of taking the club forward. Recent events have not deterred Gary and, although the plan has had to be adapted, Gary is now in a position to share this with supporters at a presentation and open meeting.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday 31st January (7.30 pm) at the Coton Liberal Sports & Social Club (CV11 5SQ) hosted by Dave Sharpe.

Admission is free, but the venue requires that we provide attendee numbers, so you must reserve your seat in advance by booking as the venue needs to know numbers for safety reasons. Please note that if you have not booked in advance, you will not be admitted on the door."
