Next For Hereford Is Torquay In The Trophy

Next Saturday Hereford take a break from the League and instead play Torquay at Edgar Street in the FA Trophy.

Torquay are currently 8th in the National South table but do have a game or two in hand on some of the clubs around them. To date they've taken 41 points from 25 games.

Hereford are now 5th in the North and have 43 points from 27 games.

Last Saturday whilst Hereford lost 3-0 at Scarborough, Torquay drew 2-2 at home against Eastbourne who are 21st in the table.

Speaking afterwards Torquay manager Gary Johnson mentioned that there were injuries in the camp, there was fixture congestion and they had had their fare share of bad luck.

"We've got to keep going.

"Hopefully we'll try and get the walking wounded, see how bad they are, assess it.

"Then we'll see what team we can pick going into the Hereford game.

"We've picked up a point but we've lost two. We didn't create enough opportunities to win the game.

"We need a solid group that are going to play more often together.

"If we did well in the Trophy against Hereford, if we did get through that one, you miss another game and you've got to put that in somewhere.

"We'll keep going, we're honest.

"We gave the ball away too many times today, may be young lads get a bit nervous when there are three points at stake.

"Hopefully we can get a little bit better as a group as we wait for a bigger squad to come in which will be pretty soon.

"We've had our fair share of wrong decisions this season from the officials. We've had a few back saying they've agreed with us that it shouldn't have been a goal. or shouldn't have been whatever we complained about.

"We've had some bad luck but you've got to fight through it.

"And then at the end of this season if you get what you want however you get it, the promotion we all want, then we'll all be happy

"And that's what we're aiming for every day. And that what we're going to do."
