Lots Of Good Stuff From Youngsters Said Caddis

Hereford manager Paul Caddis watched his youngsters defeat Tenbury Wells 11-1 last night whilst his assistant Adam Rooney took training.

And he seemed very pleased with what he witnessed.

"It was very comfortable, the youngsters done really well.

"It got a bit nasty at times but that's expected when you come up against teams that are a little bit difficult to play against and they get a bit tired and a bit lazy in their tackling.

"Lots of good stuff, lots of stuff they can improve on.

"Three goals up after seven minutes, that's important when you play against teams you are expected to win and win well, get off to a good start, which they did.

"Some good finishes, some decent goals, some good bits of play as well.

"Pleasing night overall, credit to the young players they've got the club into the next round.

"I always say Cup football is about getting through but it's probably different at this level in that they are playing against a team they are expected to win and win well. And the lads did that.

"But it was more about the attitude and the character rather than the quality in possession, they showed that in abundance.

"There were a lot of good decisions made tonight."

Teddy Mee scored five of the goals.

"He scored some decent goals, some different finishes, good composure in front of goal.

"He will be pleased with his performance as will quite a lot of the players."

Both Jack Tolley and Mark Derricott played the whole games.

"Just an opportunity to get them some minutes."

Tolley got kicked a bit towards the end of the tie.

"He'll be fine, Jack's a brave lad.

"Mark played the first game of the season for us then picked up a stress fracture in his back. He was out for quite a while.

"But we've managed to get him back, he's been back training for five weeks."
