Hereford have announced the signing of forward Kieran Phillips on loan from National League side Kidderminster Harriers
Phillips joined Harriers in the summer of 2023, signing a two-year deal, and had just finished a fine season with Gloucester City in National League North, bagging 16 goals.
Described by Harriers as a talented finisher, Phillips is a product of the Bristol Rovers Academy. After signing a professional contract with The Gas, he picked up non-league experience with loan spells at Chippenham, Dorchester and Swindon Supermarine – the latter seeing him net 17 times in 2021-22.
After leaving Bristol, the striker joined Gloucester City in the National League North where his goals played a big part in their memorable season. Six goals in four games during October 2022 also bagged him the division’s Player of the Month award.
The 21-year-old now links up with the Bulls for the remainder of the season and Harriers said he will be available for tonight's game against South Shields.
Bulls boss Paul Caddis told the official website he has always liked Phillips and he has the ability to deal with pressure having made the play-offs with Gloucester City.
He said Phillips will add "to a really threatening line up of attacking players".
Phillips has already enjoyed one positive loan spell this season at National League South Havant and Waterlooville, being recalled earlier this month.
On leaving Havant, Phillips said: "Been a pleasure, great group of people and players! All the best ❤️"
The club said he made 13 appearances after making the temporary move to Westleigh Park in November, scoring three goals.
He returned to Kidderminster to link back up with their squad under new manager Phil Brown after Russ Penn - who oversaw Harriers' promotion back to the National League with a miraculous end to season - was sacked.
