There will be a 'precautionary pitch inspection' at Edgar Street by a local referee at 8am tomorrow morning ahead of the visit of Scunthorpe.
This from Hereford FC:
“Thanks to the great work of the volunteers yesterday, the pitch is currently in a perfectly playable condition, with the covers doing their job and the pitch being protected from the overnight frost last night. At present we remain hopeful that the game will go ahead as planned.
“However, we appreciate the distance that Scunthorpe supporters, and many Hereford fans will need to travel tomorrow to get to the game, and we are committed to providing an update as early as we can tomorrow morning to help supporters plan their travel accordingly.
“After discussions with the match referee, we have arranged for a local referee to take a precautionary look at the pitch first thing tomorrow morning and we will aim to provide an update for supporters by around 8am.”
