Hereford manager Paul Caddis gave an honest assessment of yesterday's defeat by Scunthorpe when he spoke to the local media.
"The result wasn't great at all," said Caddis.
"I think we've lost five goals in the last eleven, twelve home games until we lost five today.
"I'll try and be as honest as I always can and sometimes it might come across a bit too blunt but I didn't think that was a 5-1 game.
"I thought there were five individual errors from us. They went and got their five goals.
"There was a big moment in the first half with the lad who the referee said he's made contact, it was aggressive but it wasn't violent conduct. Whatever that means I don't know.
"We had a big chance at 4-1 with the penalty. I looked for a reaction at half time for us to go and win the second half.
"We knew if we got a goal then the supporters would get behind us. We got that penalty and if that goes in then who knows.
"Probably something I can't say I'm pleased with right now but when I watch the game back it's probably I'll look back and say the thing about football when you are 4-0 down it is easy to throw the towel in but we didn't do that. We don't have the players in the dressing room to do that.
"I was more pleased with the second half, when you are 2-0 down after seventeen minutes you are giving yourselves a mountain to climb against a full time outfit who have invested heavily in their squad.
"Just a bad day at the office."
Caddis went on to say more about the defeat.
"We made some poor decisions.
"The first goal, we've got to play it quicker from centre-half.
"The second goal, it's second phase, we don't pick a man up.
"Third goal we tried to nick the ball at the edge of the box, get countered.
"Fifth goal Pond tries to come and get it, misses it.
"And the fourth goal was an individual mistake as well.
"I can't remember the last time we've been properly played through. I think Boston scored from 30 yards a brilliant goal. Apart from that it's been individual errors and that frustrating but at the same time it's pleasing to know we're not being played through.
"We're disappointed, the dressing room is extremely quiet but we've got to go again."
