After yesterday's 1-0 win at Bishop's Stortford, Hereford are now fourth in the National North League table.
Admittedly a number of clubs have played one or two less games but as manager Paul Caddis said no one expected Hereford to be in this position.
"We're now at the half way point.
"I probably don't reflect as much as I should, it's my first job as a manager, I'm two feet dived right in, I'm all in with it.
"I'm extremely proud of the players, I'm proud of everyone involved at the football club.
"We never imagined to be in this position to be brutally honest. The remit was never to be in this position.
"We've had horrendous injuries, we've had some bad luck at times. Everyone has had that but we've had two of the main front three out for a majority of the season.
"So to be in this position speaks volumes for every other player involved."
Could it get even better?
"We hope so, we hope so once we get every single player available."
