Leek Town have finally signed Dino Visser after being beaten to his signature by Hereford last season
A step four side have snapped up former Hereford keeper Dino Visser, calling him a "vastly experienced" player.
Northern Premier League Division One West club Leek Town have signed Dino Visser who it appears has been without a club since being released from Hereford at the end of the season.
According to their chairman, Hereford beat them to Dino's signature last season.
The club said they were pleased to announce the signing of the "vastly experienced" Visser now though, adding he has a wealth of experience and began his career with Platinum Stars in his native country South Africa, making his Premier Soccer League debut in March 2011.
In June 2019, he moved to England and signed a short-term deal at Exeter City, he has also played for Crewe Alexandra and Port Vale.
In September 2022, he signed for Hereford, their fourth keeper of the season at that time. He then made 22 appearances in all competitions before being released by new manager Paul Caddis.
Josh Brehaut, the Staffordshire side's manager, said: "I am delighted that we have captured Dino's signature, he is vastly experienced and will be a key addition to the squad."
Chairman Jon Eeles added: "We met Dino last season and very nearly signed him before Danny Roberts returned from injury but Hereford, who are in a higher division than us, beat us to it.
"I'm looking forward to seeing him in a Leek Town shirt."
