Hereford under the cosh and trailing Boston at the break

Hereford a goal down at Boston in this afternoon's National League North match.

Martin Woods almost opened the scoring early on, with Curtis Pond tipping his long-range drive over the bar.

Keziah Martin then forced Pond into a fine save down low before Jimmy Knowles's wonder strike from range rendered the Hereford stopper helpless as the hosts took the lead.

Hereford's defence have been under the cosh with blocks and last-minute clearance.

The side now face an uphill battle as they try to claw something back from Boston who've dominated the first half.
