Hereford fans have been rushing to buy tickets for this Saturday's FA Cup tie against League Two side Gillingham.Hereford's players have been reacting to strong ticket sales for Saturday's FA Cup game
While perhaps not as enticing as last season's first round tie against League One outfit Portsmouth, which was televised, it will still be a great day inside Edgar Street.
As of 7pm on Tuesday, 3,643 tickets for the game have been sold. Some 2,200 had been sold before general sales started at 10am and then 1,443 were bought over the course of the day.
Chairman Chris Ammonds said it was "amazing stuff" and he was "blown away", but players have also been reacting to what appears to be a good demand for FA Cup tickets.
On Twitter, several players shared their thoughts.
Jordan Cranston said: "Unreal support, lets keep it going๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ"
Jack Tolley said: "What a set of fans. Can't wait to hear the noise at the street on Saturday."
Curtis Pond said: "Let’s get this place rocking!๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐"
Mark Derricott said: "Wow - let’s make it a special one๐ฎ"
Jason Cowley said: "Unreal, come on the boys ๐⚪️⚫️"
Adam Livingstone said: "Come and support the boys!!! Let’s get a sell out ๐"
General manager Jamie Griffiths also said it was "incredible support" and the atmosphere inside Edgar Street on Saturday will be "amazing". Former chairman Jon Hale called it "bloody brilliant support".
Also getting involved was kit man Dan Pace, who said: "Yet again you, the supporters, showing the lads how much this club means to everybody.
"This is a special group of players and this will be a special atmosphere."
Kick off is at 3pm on Saturday with the game picked for highlights by the BBC.
