Hereford manager Paul Caddis was pleased to take a point at Farsley yesterday after a few poor results on the road but admitted that he had to make a few changes to cope with the difficult pitch.
"I'll try and be as honest as I can but I thought it was a rubbish game of football," said Caddis.
"I knew the pitch was difficult hence the starting line up I decided to go with.
"I wanted to learn from the mistakes at Tamworth.
"We couldn't come here and pass the ball today, as much as we like to do that, the pitch didn't allow that, the opposition didn't allow that.
"I thought it was a really low-quality game just full of endeavour and blood and guts and all the rest ot it. I terms of quality I don't think there was a lot there but that probably down to surroundings and the pitch.
"Very little through mid-field, probably because the ball missed them out quite a lot.
"We decided to go direct. I told the boys before the game I'm making no apologies for the style of play we were going to have to go with today because I've seen games when teams have tried to pass it here and been caught out on the pitch and mistakes.
"So we came here and respected the opposition.
"I know Clayts very well and we knew they would be a hard working team, they are robust.
"A lot of teams won't enjoy coming here so we've got to respect a point.
"I'm pleased because our away form of late hasn't been great so pleased just to get that point."
