Curzon's Assistant Manager Kieran Bentley Was Sent Off Late In The Game
Speaking after yesterday's game at Hereford, player-manager Craig Mahon said that Curzon had 'come here to win'
"We came here to win, we set up to win," said Mahon.
"We've got a fantastic group, we're on a great run.
"We came here to try and dominate but I thought Hereford done really well.
"They set up really good, caused us a bit of trouble in the pockets in front of our back four.
"They had a really good game plan, they've obviously watched us which is a compliment because we do cause trouble to other teams.
"At half time we changed it.
"Obviously conceding before half time doesn't help, going in 1-0 at half time is a different game.
"Conceding a set piece before half time is quite annoying but we gave away about ten set pieces in the first half so they are going to have a chance from one and they took it.
"Second half we changed to try and match them up and I thought it was working."
A lot of cards in the game for both sides.
"I don't think the officials have been great today.
"I think there have been about twelve bookings today and I've not seen one bad tackle.
"Their lad (Howkins) getting sent off for that is absymal. I would be annoyed if I were their manager because that is just ridiculous.
"He's kicked the ball just as the whistle is blown and he's sent him off. That's not a sending off offence.
"I think it's harsh for them."
Late in the game the Curzon keeper was red carded.
"He's dropped too deep, he's come out to get it, he's made a bad decision. He knows, he's apologised.
"Then Devon has gone over after Posh has made a brilliant save. He's asked the lino who is playing him onside. Was he agressive, no. He's not sworn. You are not allowed to talk to officals anymore.
"What we want to do is respect each other. And if you can't talk how are you going to gain that respect for each other.
"The linesman thought Devon had gone too far. Keiran was uphappy so sent him off.
"It was a circus at the end."
