Debatable decisions probably cost Hereford at least a point last night at Alfreton.
The home side won the game 3-1 after Alex Babos had put the Bulls ahead. Two penalties and a goal gave Alfreton the points.
"The second decision changed the game," said Hereford manager Paul Caddis.
"I've just seen it.
"I hate coming and talking about officials, I really do. Sometimes you can't help it.
"We controlled the game.
"I thought first half there was only one team in it. We just needed that little bit extra at the top end of the pitch. We were lacking that a little bit.
"Sometimes in football you don't get the decisions you deserve and that's exactly what's happened tonight.
"We've seen the (second) penalty back and it's exactly what I thought when I saw it live.
"I think the first one in fairness is probably a penalty, I would be moaning for that myself.
"The second one changed the game.
"It's difficult to take because it changes the momentum of the game, it's frustrating.
"We tried to plug away but we just couldn't get there."
Hereford controlled the first half going down the slope but did not make it count. They scored early in the second period but needed a second goal. That didn't happen and then Alfreton equalised with a penalty.
"Obviously we gave away a slack penalty and then scored but there was nothing in the game at that time. It was not as though they were massively on top.
"We were still trying to do the right things in terms of trying to play through the lines and get Babos, who scored again, in those positions.
"It was one of those nights when I won't fault any of the players but we've come up against some decisions we're not pleased about but that's life."
