Manager Ian Long has left Alvechurch.
Chairman Stephen Denny revealed the news.
'This morning I had the most difficult conversation of my tenure. We have decided to part ways with our first team manager, Ian Long.
Ian, affectionately known as ‘Peewee’ is the most successful manager in our club’s history so this decision has not been made lightly. A further statement will be issued shortly and in the meantime we are welcoming applications for the vacancy.
Any interested parties are invited to submit their CV to Sporting Director, Mark Fogarty
mark@alvechurchfc.co.uk'
Long signed a new deal to manage Alvechurch last May after a very successful season particularily in the FA Cup when they defeated Cheltenham in the first round.
They lost to Forest Green in the second round.
It was the first time the club had reached the first round in 49 years.
