There's little doubt that having Paul Downing back at Hereford is a great boost to the club. He played his first game on Saturday and despite being on the losing game was praised by manager Paul Caddis.
"I thought Paul Downing was head and shoulders above everybody else on the pitch," he said.
Downing has been out of the game for 16 months.
"What a journey over the last 16 months. Mistakes made and lessons learned but most importantly new perspective gained," said Downing as reported by the Express and Star.
"A massive thanks to those who have played a part in helping me return to what I love doing.
