Just two weeks into the new season and Southport are looking for a new manager.
Currently they are bottom of the National North League having lost their first three games.
Liam Watson has been releived of his post to concentrate on his other job as director of football.
"I would like to thank Liam for the huge contribution he has made as first team manager over many years, however we have both agreed that the time is now right to make a change," said chairman Ian Kyle.
Player-coach David Morgan and assistant manager Andy Burgess will take charge until a new manager is in place.
