King's Lynn manager Mark Hughes said on Saturday that he wanted to bring a couple more players into his squad ahead of Saturday's opening game of the season against Hereford.
And today he has made a start with the signing of Tom Clifford from Southend on a two year deal.
“I’m delighted that we have brought Tom to the club," said Hughes.
"I’ve played with and coached him when he was 18 on loan at Bishops Stortford. Tom went on to start nearly 70 games in league two and National league for Southend.
"He’s a technically gifted left footed player I’ve watched develop over the years.
"After a difficult season last year through injury and Southends positive results, Tom felt it was time for a fresh start with us and I’m sure he will be an excellent player for King’s Lynn."
