Aneurin Livermore has signed for Merthyr and played for them in a pre-season friendly last night.
He had been on trial at Hereford but was released last week.
Livermore is a talented individual who progressed through the Exiles ranks. The 20-year-old made his first start for Newport in a 3–1 EFL Trophy defeat to Plymouth Argyle. Livermore made his football league debut for Newport on 4 September 2021 as a second-half substitute in the 2-2 League Two against Leyton Orient. Following a successful spell at the Exiles, the midfielder was called up to represent the intermediate age groups of Cymru, featuring for the Wales U19s squad for the 2022 UEFA European Under-19 championship qualifying matches in Norway against Georgia, Norway and Kosovo on 6, 9 and 12 October 2021.
After his release from County at the end of 2021/22 season, on 25 February 2023, Livermore signed for National League North club Hereford FC but only registered one appearance during the remainder of the season.
