News round-up: Gloucester target Football League, new faces at King's Lynn and more

Bilal Yafai played for Hereford United during the club's demise
King's Lynn Town have signed two new faces after losing six players this summer, including their top goalscorer. Midfielder Jack Smith has joined the Linnets from League One side Stevenage and the versatile Emmanuel Oke from Margate.

Olympic rowing medallist and successful businessman Steve Rowbotham has joined Gloucester City as an executive director. He will help new chairman Patrick Chambers and the club’s leadership team in their "goal to achieve Football League status".

The club have also announced the signing of attacking full-back Jamie Reckord from National League South side Yeovil Town.

Vanarama National League North club Peterborough Sports have announced the signing of full-back Matt Tootle.

The 32-year-old, who was a product of Crewe Alexandra's youth set-up, brings with him a wealth of experience having played in the EFL and Vanarama National League, reports Non-League Today.

Hereford FC are offering supporters the chance to buy old turnstiles from Edgar Street. They date back to at least the 1960s; details can be found here.

Former Hereford United midfielder Bilal Yafai has re-signed for Nuneaton Borough. After signing from Tamworth in January 2022, he made his debut against Rushall Olympic but damaged his anterior cruciate ligament which saw him sidelined for 12 months.

Now fully fit, he'll have another chance to impress. He played for the Bulls during the expunged 2014/15 season when the Bulls were wound up under the Tommy Agombar and Andy Lonsdale regime.
