News round-up: former captain on the move, Stelling's special donation and more

Jordan Cullinane-Liburd has signed for Tamworth

Jordan Cullinane-Liburd has rejoined Tamworth. The Lambs won promotion to the National League North, with the defender making the play-offs last season with finalists Brackley.

The centre-back was with Hereford from 2018 until 2020 and captained the side, but left when Josh Gowling opted to move the Bulls to daytime training.

Spennymoor Town's 41-year-old defender James Curtis has penned a new deal with the club.

It will be the centre back's eighth consecutive season with the National League North outfit, the Curis - who is also Moors' captain - made 40 appearances last season and is "showing no signs of slowing down".

Former Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling has donated a signed book for the Adam Stansfield Foundation to auction.

The foundation was set up "raise money and change lives" after the footballer - who played for clubs including Hereford United and Exeter City - died from bowel cancer aged just 31.

Yan Klukowski has also donated a match-worn and signed Hereford FC shirt.

Former Hereford striker Demetri Brown, who was brought to the club by Josh Gowling, has rejoined AFC Wulfrunians, who the Bulls met in the Midland Football League.

Brown made only two competitive appearances for Hereford due to injuries and was released in December 2020, 10 months after signing.

The Isthmian League is currently revisiting some of the best matches of last season, but it's bad news for Hereford.

One of the best games, according to the league, was Heybridge Swifts comfortably beaten Hereford in the FA Trophy at Scraley Road in Essex.

Hereford were knocked out of the competition by the side who were two steps lower in the pyramid. It was a 3-0 defeat for Hereford and the League says the Bulls were "outclassed".
