Curtis Pond has joined Hereford FC.
He's a 6ft 4in goalkeeper who has been with Chasetown for the last ten seasons and made 291 appearances for them.
"Curtis is everything I look for in a goalkeeper – courageous, commanding of his box, unbelievable technical ability and most importantly, he’s someone who can make big saves at big moments," said Hereford manager Paul Caddis.
"After spending some time with Curtis he fed off my enthusiasm and the
drive of this football club, and has decided now is the time to play at a
level he should have a long time ago."
Pond has thanked Chasetown.
"It may come as a shock but I am deciding to move on from my time at Chasetown.
"I just want to thank each and every single fan for all the support over the last 9/10 years I’ve been at the club!
"Coming in as a young lad at 16/17 years old and being involved till now
has created memories I’ll never forget and there will always be a place
in my heart for Chasetown."
