Chorley's First Goal |
In his post match interview Chorley manager Andy Preece admitted it had been a tough game against Hereford.
"I said it down there that Hereford would be in the play-offs," said Preece.
"If we had not beaten them today they would have been very close to being in there
"They are a very good side and they showed that in the first half.
"Although we probably dominated possession and territory, they looked so dangerous on the counter attack. They've got such good footballers.
"Sometimes you've got to throw your bodies on the line, you need your keeper to be on his game and he was.
"Then second half we showed what we are like, we just turned it up a little bit."
Later in the interview Preece made the point that he thought Chorley and Southport had used the least amount of players this year.
"There are teams who has used almost double the players we have."
