Alun Armstrong was the happier of the two managers after today's game between Darlington and Hereford which ended 3-0 to the home side.
Darlington had the better of the game, particularily the first half, but they took nearly 40 minutes to score their first goal.
Hereford did have one chance in the second half when the ball was cleared off the line but in truth the Darlo keeper had a pretty quiet afternoon.
"I thought we were well on top without creating too much (in the first half)," said Armstrong.
"Then once we got the goal I think you could see we were going to score a few more after that.
"But there was always that moment when one of them could nick one.
"They had a good opportunity after half time when Tommy has made a save but it ends up being cleared off the line.
"I think that's the only thing Tommy has had to do.
"It was a wake up call.
"But we went down the other end and some of the lads managed to bundle that one over the line."
