Bulls' fans may be interested to learn that a new book is soon to be published that includes a description and history of the Edgar Street ground.
The book is called "The Football Grounds of Herefordshire & Worcestershire" and consists of 134 A5 pages describing grounds in the two named counties, including both existing grounds and also those that have now disappeared.
The book has been extensively researched and includes 325 dated photographs and maps that show grounds as they are at present and how they have changed over the years. For example, the section on Edgar Street covers 8 pages that include 22 photographs. There are even photographs of the former barrel-roofed stand from the Edgar Street side of the ground, in its present guise as a cowshed.
Altogether, there are 19 other clubs whose Herefordshire grounds are described in the book - Hereford Lads Club, Hereford Pegasus, Hinton, Wellington, Westfields, Bartestree, Bromyard Town, Burghill, Ewyas Harold, Fownhope, Holme Lacy, Kington Town, Ledbury Town, Leominster Town, Orleton, Ross Juniors, Shobdon, Tenbury Town (who play at Little Hereford) and Weston. There are also 5 former grounds, 2 in Hereford and 1 each in Rotherwas, Amberley and Leominster.
The book costs £19.95 as a softback and £29.95 as a hardback and can be ordered from:www.footballgroundsfrenzy2.com
