Hope For Change

HUST reviews the HFC General Meeting of 23 February 2023

Each of the three Special HUST Resolutions at the Hereford FC General Meeting on Thursday 23 February gained in excess of 52% of the shareholders' vote. However, under the rules which require a 75% majority, these resolutions for parity of directors on the Football Club board were not passed.

HUST is pleased to report that the Ordinary Resolution to establish a joint working party to draw up a Hereford Model for fans ownership based on the model developed at Exeter City FC was approved. We will now be using our contacts in the South-West Group of Supporters, and at the Football Supporters' Association, to identify elements that we believe will work at Edgar Street and bring them back for further discussion.

HUST Chairman, Richard Tomkins commented, "This is not the end, just the start. Supporters' groups throughout the land are no longer in isolation from one another. We will continue to go out and find the best practice. We must find a way to run our Football Club that prevents it losing nearly £600k in just 3 years. We will continue to carry out the role we were established for ....to defend, protect and promote supporters' interests within Hereford FC".
