To win at Fylde after losing at Edgar Street to Curzon Ashton just three days earlier was a 'fantastic reaction' said Hereford interim manager Yan Klukowski.
"Fantastic reaction after the performance on Saturday," said Klukowski.
"I thought the players to a man were outstanding, delivering a game plan. I can't speak highly enough of them.
"It was an out and out team performance. Everyone did their jobs. The only blemish was the late goal we conceded.
"But up until that point it was probably as perfect a defensive display as you as going to get."
Hereford were lucky to go ahead after three minutes. Ryan McLean capitalised on a keeper error.
"I think you earn your luck. The harder you work usually the luckier you get,
"Ryan McLean has run fourty/fifty yards to put some pressure on the keeper and he gets his reward and he capitalises on the keeper's mistake.
"It's a perfect start in terms of an away performance, it gives a bit more belief to the players in terms of the game plan and I thought the players carried it out well."
Hereford had to defend for much of the game.
"That's the difference the way we competed, we did the dirty side of the game exceptionally well and our one on one defeating was excellent.
"When they did come into our box our defending was first class."
Hereford added to their lead midway twice through the second half and effectively killed the game off.
"It was nice to score from a set-piece ourselves. I must give some credit to Alan Jenkins for that one, he's been working tiredlessly in terms of out set-piece work.
"And then a fantastic strike from Tyrone Barnett. His work-rate tonight was incredible tonight. For a 37 year old to get through the running he did, he's been magnificent over the last couple of weeks in terms of his training and how he's looked after the group.
"For him to get his goal was perfect for him."
This was Klukowski's fourth game in charge.
"I think there's only been one down day, last Saturday.
"We had two fantastic home performances against Southport and Alfreton. Just the Curzon game which was a little blemish. But tonight was magnificent, it makes that journey home a lot sweeter."
