Brad Wade Released By Hereford
Brad Wade and Jordan Thompson have been released by Hereford.
Manager Josh Gowling said it was done to keep down costs.
"We've released goalkeeper Brad Wade and defender Jordan Thompson," Gowling told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"At the moment it is what it is.
"We've got the squad we've got. I don't think we'll be bringing in bodies at the moment.
"Mark (Derricott) is back from his loan now so he's rejoined the group. He'll probably be on the bench on Saturday.
"But for the moment we've got what we've got."
Gowling said releasing players wasn't something he wanted to do.
"But money is money.
"You have to do it when players are not playing, you have to trim the squad down."
Wade had been with Hereford since the start of the season but suffered an arm injury three months ago.
"He's done really well and ideally you want to keep him around but financially we can't do that.
"We'll see how it goes but Luke (Haines) is going to be suspended after Saturday. It might give Mark an opportunity to come in at centre half and play."
