Hereford fans were bemused at the announced crowd of 2066 at the Tiger Turf Stadium. Gloucester claimed only 525 were from Hereford.
Yesterday all the Hereford seating was “sold out” but at the game there about 50 free seats. The announced figure for Hereford appeared to considerably under estimate the number of Bulls fans. City’s previous best attendance this season was 1,008 with gates around 900 more typical.
On Gloucester’s figures 600 Tigers fans were suddenly motivated to come having not attended all season. There were clearly more Bulls fans in their end compared with the Gloucester end. The side terrace for the Bulls was far more packed compared to the Tigers side terrace. Only the home seats appeared to out number the similar area for the Bulls.
It appeared that there were nearly 1000 Bulls fans present and possibly even the majority of the crowd. It would be interesting to see a more detailed breakdown of the Gloucester attendance figures.
