It's been revealed that National North club Peterborough Sports has been under a transfer embargo since November.
And chairman Grant Biddle has said he is unable to put more money into the club to pay off the debt.
"We've been under a transfer embargo since November because he had debt that hasn't been cleared," said Biddle as reported by the Non-League Paper.
Biddle is thinking of stepping down and says he would like someone else to take over.
"I never thought we would reach step two and I have to be honest and admit I don't have the funds or time to take the club any further.
"With some funding there's huge potential for the club to grow.
"There's a great squad and a brilliant young manager (Jimmy Dean)."
Peterborough Sports are currently 11th in the table, four place above Hereford.
