Hereford manager Josh Gowling felt there had been some positives despite losing 2-0 to Pegasus in last night's HFA County Cup.
"It was good for the lads who hadn't played to get minutes," said Gowling.
"It was good for us to have a good look at some of the lads. Cam came on second half and I thought he was excellent to be fair to him.
"It was excellent in what it was used for, minutes for the boys and getting the lads out, not that we've got many who haven't played.
"Ty, Jack and a few of the boys just getting some minutes.
"We used these games over the years I've been here for minutes for the boys who are not playing and some of the young lads.
"It was important they got minutes in ahead of this Saturday's game (Buxton). That's what it was.
"Obviously you want to get a result regardless of who you are playing but just pleased we got the minutes in."
