Writing in the Heybridge programme local journalist Jon Longman said:

The gates of the Aspen Waite Arena were wide open, first for Saturday’s 4-1 Isthmian North Division victory over Hullbridge Sports and then again for Tuesday night’s fabulous floodlit entertainment as 376 fans watched the Swifts topple leaders AFC Sudbury in a 3-2 thriller, but there was no sign of a Hereford scout.
Club secretary Steve Crisp said ‘We are surprised that Hereford haven’t sent anybody to a match unless they came in secret.’
The article goes on to highlight the free scoring attacking play which has seen the Swifts record 9 home victories and only one draw against higher ranked Braintree in the FA Cup. The Swifts recorded their 10th home victory against Hereford scoring 3 or more goals for the sixth time and the third time in a week.
Today’s victory for the Swifts was the fourth time they have beaten higher ranked opponents this season.
