Hereford manager Josh Gowling is considering sending Mark Derricott out on loan to get him more playing time.
The youngster captained the side at Ludlow on Wednesday evening in the HFA County Cup.
"He's done really well," said Gowling talking to BBC Hereford and Worcester's Trevor Owens.
"He's mature beyond his years, he talks and organises well.
"He's a centre-half, he's not a full back.
"But he just wants to play football so he's rolled his sleeves up and got on with it.
"I'd like to get a full back in so he could go out on loan to maybe a League below and get him regular games, he needs regular football at his age for his development. That's the plan for Mark moving forward, hopefully we can do that.
"I've spoken to a few clubs, obviously Steve Burr is at Hednesford, that might be one for him.
"He's never let us down when he's come into the team and in a dismal period he has been one of the shining lights.
"He can take pride in his performances."
