The National North League season starts on Saturday and Hereford's first fixture is at home against Spennymoor Town.
In their last pre-season friendly Spenymoor were defeated by Trafford and earlier Coalville pulled off an unlikely victory at the Durham club.
In contrast Hereford won their friendly at Coalville.
Spennymoor manager Anothony Johnson is glad pre-season is over.
"You can't wait, pre-season just drags and drags," said Johnson.
"You're always hoping if you finish pre-season with a win, nothing else matters.
"But I've said it from day one, and everyone else will say the same thing, it doesn't matter a single jot because you are playing lads in positions they wouldn't play, you play lads who are fatigued, some are carrying knocks, some are trialists.
"From our point of view we've had that many missing that have come back into the fray this week, it looks a lot different.
"I'm glad it's over, every manager will tell you the same thing.
"You've spent time on the training ground, you play games to see if what you are doing on the training ground comes off, which it is doing.
"We're getting into the real stuff now and we'll see how we react to the pressurised side of things."
