Theo Wharton Signs for Newtown

League of Wales Newtown AFC have paid a transfer fee to relegated Barry Town United for former Hereford FC midfielder Theo Wharton. The 27 year old St Kitts and Nevis international had signed a two year contract with Barry before Newtown swooped for him to bolster their European campaign. Newtown made a satisfactory offer to Zeli Ismail last season after he turned down Hereford's terms. Newtown who averaged 346 spectators last season have secured at least 250,000 Euros from UEFA for their participation in the Europa Conference in 2022/23.
