There will be a 'mixed' Cardiff team for tomorrow's friendly at Hereford.
Cardiff have a friendly at Swindon this afternoon and it's thought their 'first choice' starting eleven will play much if not all of the game.
But those not involved are expected to be in the squad for Hereford tomorrow.
“The boys that will step up to play alongside senior pros for the game against Hereford will have to prove that they belong on the same pitch as them,” said Cardiff's Darren Purse.
“The younger lads will have to step up to meet the senior players’ demands.
“There will be some younger players who will be disappointed not to be involved in the game, but that’s when they need to deal with their disappointment and think ‘the next time the manager is playing senior players, then I want to be in the team'.
“We’re always looking to push our players out of their comfort zone, so that when they are called upon they’ll be able to perform to the best of their ability.
“The boys will have to step on again against Hereford, as they’ll be playing against a senior side. They’ll need to prepare as though they’re going into any match. It’ll be an exciting one for the lads that are involved, as they’ll get to share the pitch with some experienced players.”
