Mark Derricott |
In his post match interview after today's friendly against Cardiff, Hereford manager Josh Gowling spoke about several of the younger players on the pitch this afternoon.
"Harrison (Summers) he went in as left back, he's not a left back, we're converting him to a right back at the moment.
"I thought he was excellent, he puts a tackle in.
"Mark (Dericott) for me has been a stand out player in pre-season.
"He came in at right back today, he wants to fight, he's confident, he drove forward well at times.
"Cam came on as well in the second half.
"Young lad, tenacious.
"It shows that we're starting to get some really good young boys coming through the system which is pleasing.
"And if they are good enough they will play.
"We put them on today and I thought they did well for themselves."
One player who didn't feature was Harry Pinchard.
"He played Wednesday and felt a bit tired, just because of the pitch and stuff. No point in risking him."
