Hereford staged a remarkable comeback to claim a 2-2 draw against Brackley Town in their final home game of the season.
Jared Hodgkiss struck in stoppage time after Luke Haines had earlier scored a sensational volley. It had looked like Brackley would be taking home all three points after opening up a two-goal lead.
Hodgkiss' own goal in the third minute followed by a strike from former Hereford player Jaanai Gordon had put the away side in control.
The away side had countless chances to put the game to bed, and that ultimately proved to be their downfall.
The draw means that Hereford can no longer make the play-offs, while Gateshead are the National League North champions at Brackley's expense.
