A charity match is taking place at Yeovil on Saturday May 14th in support of the Adam Stansfield Foundation.
Amongst those playing is Matt Taylor who is the Exeter manager. He will turn out for the South West Legends XI who will take on a Yeovil Town Legends XI.
Others taking part are ex-Exeter and Torquay man Steve Tully, who will captain the side, defensive partner Rob Edwards and Lee Trundle, the former Swansea City and Bristol City striker.
They will be managed by former Glovers’ boss Darren Sarll and will also include players who played with Stansfield at Exeter City and Hereford, Josh Gowling for one, as well as for other clubs across the region.
The Yeovil side will be managed by Gary Johnson.
Tickets for the match are on sale now on the Yeovil Town website’s ticketing portal with all proceeds going to the Foundation, which has donated tens of thousands of pounds to schools and individuals across the South West including Herefordshire to help give young people sporting opportunities.
“As a player and a person Adam was a person who worked tirelessly and that spirit has never been forgotten by our supporters," said Taylor.
“The work of his family and many Exeter supporters to establish the Foundation and the great work it has done is a fitting tribute and I hope as many people as possible will support this game to help them and remember Adam.”
