In his post match interview after the 1-0 defeat at Gloucester, Hereford manager Josh Gowling suggested that if fans were unhappy then you should come and speak to me.
Luke Haines had gone over to clap the fans for their support and he received some words from one or two supporters. Gowing then went and talked to those supporters.
"I understand when they come and see a performance like that, they get upset and disappointed," said Gowling.
"Which is why I went over to speak to them because it's disappointing and upsetting for us.
"There's a fan saying he's been there for twelve years and we don't understand.
"I'm the manager of the football club, he doesn't understand how it affects us as a group.
"We plan, we work tirelessly, this is our life. And I get it their lives as well. It means so much to us to push on and get this club where it wants to be and we want it more than anything else. We'll keep pushing until we get there.
"The fans were having a go at Luke and I didn't like it to be honest.
"And then he was just saying it's the worst he's seen in twelve years.
"I've seen worse than that in the twelve years I've been playing and I was a part of it.
"I just wanted to have a chat with him, that was all.
"I get people's frustrations, I'm frustrated. Sometimes if they are going to vent I don't mind, I'll be that sounding board. I just wanted to listen to what he had to say.
"All I would say to the fans is if they have got an issue don't air it to the players, air it to me. I'll take that.
"At the end of the day it's my team, they are my boys and the lads will always do their best.
"So if they have got a problem then comes and speak to me."
