Influential player Maziar Kouhyar has left Hereford following an approach from a fellow National League North club.
The Bulls had offered the Afghan international a contract for next season, but the midfielder has decided to depart the club.
“We are extremely disappointed that Maz has decided to move on," said Hereford chairman Jon Hale in a statement posted on the club's official website.
"Just over five weeks ago, we offered him a contract until the end of the 2022/23 season as we started to think beyond this season towards the make-up of our squad looking forward to next year. Unfortunately, despite the contract offer appearing to be well received, we have since been unable to finalise the deal with Maz and his representatives and while we were given the impression he would stay with us till the end of the season, after Saturday’s draw with Darlington he informed the manager that he would be moving on immediately.”
