Darlington Need Three Points From Hereford Says Armstrong

Celebrations After Hereford Score Against Darlington In February 2020

Darlington has not given up hope of a playoff place and so will be looking to take all three points from Hereford tomorrow.

Currently they are three points below the Bulls and have played the same number of games. However their goal difference is +3 whereas Hereford's is -1.

Darlo manager Alun Armstrong feels 64/65 points are needed to ensure a playoff place. If they win they will have 43 points with ten games remaining.

In the week they signed defender Adriano Moke but it seems unlikely he will start tomorrow.

"There are a few little things going on with Adriano at the minute, we'll sort that out over the weekend. I'm pretty certain he'll be involved on Tuesday," said Armstrong.

Darlo didn't have a game last Saturday.

"Every time we've had a free Saturday we've brought them in and kept the fitness up. You could see fatigue was setting in our last game against York so they needed a little breather because we have a big run of games now, eleven games in six/seven weeks to try and get into the playoffs.

"I want the lads to have a really good push now.

"I've not given up anything yet, we're still pushing. We've just got to give us the best chance by playing to our ability, not waiting for the opposition, trying to close the opposition down as much as we can and play our game."

Armstrong knows that Hereford are in a similar position, looking for a playoff place.

"They will be looking at the same as well.

"If we get the win we'll have the same points as them, it's not a must win game but if we want to show any serious promise of getting into the playoffs we got to win these games.

"A draw is a decent result away from home but we want to try and win these games to put pressure on the teams above."
