Time To 'Honour' Peter Issac?

Is it time for Hereford to honour Peter Issac?

Paul Willets thinks they should. He explains why.

Today is a landmark date for all us older generations of Bulls fans when 50 years ago Newcastle United got on the wrong end of some R&R when Ronnie and Ricky caused one of the biggest upsets in FA Cup history and rammed Supermac's words down his big mouth.
So today we remember those fabulous warriors who put the city of Hereford on the map, some of whom are sadly no longer with us but their memories and contributions will never be forgotten amongst Bulls fans, they were part time players, but great characters that you don't see their likes today.

The Cup run helped the club into the football league after drawing 0-0 with West Ham at Edgar Street in the next round before being defeated in the replay 3-1.

Every football fan knew who Hereford United were after that.
But let's not forget the two men who masterminded the team, player manager Colin Addison and coach Peter Issac.
Colin has been rightly honoured for his success at Edgar Street with Addisons Bar and a street called Addison Close near to Edgar Street.

And Ronnie Radford for his wonderful goal with Radfords Bar.
But what about Peter Issac the man gave his life to Hereford United. I think it's about time we honoured this wonderful gentleman.

I had the pleasure of Colin and Peter's company at the Cinderford Town v Hereford FC pre season friendly last year, and it was wonderful to be able to spend time with two such humble men and hero's of my football club Hereford United.
My partner Tina looked after them on the day and she said what wonderful ambassadors they were to the game of football and how they interacted with the ordinary supporters.
So Bulls fans young and old please join Tina and myself by asking the present board through the power of Bulls News,  Hereford Times, Social Media etc to honour the man from Pontypridd.

So what about the Meadow End being renamed  The Peter Issac Meadow End?
Colin always said the packed Meadow End back in those golden days was worth a goal head start and scared the living daylights out of the opposition.
So come on Jon Hale and other board members do the decent thing and honour Peter.
